SWEET VOYAGER´S ACTIVITY

TOMORROW´S TOURISM

Tourism in the future will be a new way of life since services change to be better, we think that it will be a, greater competition among companies that offer tourist services, will create new niche markets with new and better attractions, the economy will grow, there will be a greater concern for the environment, they create new destinations with the best structure and people can make a trip more easily.
People will have more opportunity to take a trip and they have more experiences, meet new people, different places and learn about other cultures, is unimaginable what will happen in the future tourism.

WHAT IS TOURISM?
Although many of us have been "tourists" at some point in our lives, defining what tourism actually is can be difficult. Tourism is the activities of people traveling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for leisure, business or other purposes for not more than one consecutive year.
Tourism is a dynamic and competitive industry that requires the ability to adapt constantly to customers' changing needs and desires, as the customer’s satisfaction, safety and enjoyment are particularly the focus of tourism businesses.
TOURISM ENCOMPASSES:
Outbound Tourism
Outbound tourism is what you may be most familiar with. It involves the people going from British Columbia to other provinces, territories or countries. For example, going to Hawaii for a holiday is considered outbound tourism.
Inbound Tourism
The tourists coming to BC from other places are called inbound tourists. BC competes in a global market to attract tourists from the United States, Japan, Germany and many other countries. The industry also implements marketing campaigns aimed at attracting travellers from other parts of Canada, as well as from within British Columbia.
Domestic Tourism
Approximately half of the tourists in BC each year are actually from within the province.  BC Stats and Destination BC consider those travelling beyond their usual environment (typically more than 80 km from home) for business or for pleasure to be tourists.
Tourism Sectors
There are different ways to measure the size of the tourism industry, as tourism does not conform to the usual ways that industries are defined, such as manufacturing, forestry and other industries. Tourism constitutes a wide variety of sectors that provide diverse products and services to visitors. However, these businesses also provide products and services to local residents.
The tourism and hospitality industry in British Columbia employs 274,000 people on a full year equivalent basis, in diverse sectors such as transportationtravel servicesrecreation and entertainmentaccommodation and food and beverage services. The industry represents approximately 12% of the total BC workforce. Of these 274,000 workers, approximately half (127,000) are employed directly as the result of the $13.5 billion in tourist spending in the province each year.
When describing the “tourism industry,” go2hr includes all 274,000 workers, because this is the number of people who need to be recruited and trained to support the businesses that serve both tourists and local residents. Economic reports may focus more on the 127,000 jobs created by direct tourism spending for different purposes. Both figures are correct.

BACKPAC´S ACTIVITY

Actually the high technology has allowed developments to be able to travel to space which sounds very interesting.

We dream of someday go to the space but it is really expensive, we will need to be multibillionaires however believe that this is a new type of tourism, it is a new experience, but you need to have a good training.

In the future there will be more companies offering space travel and although the trips for a few days its will be a unique and fun experience.

The first tourist who traveled to space was surely very lucky the luckiest person in the world.

Was an interestig article.

Tomorrow´s Tourism

We think that for tomorrow´s tourism the world will change in differents aspects like:
*We will have more niche of tourism (e.g. space tourism, sea tourism, virtual tourism, etc.)
*New activities for tourists.
*More concern for the enviroment.
*Higth technology apply to tourism services... and unimaginable things...

Activity

You all have to imagine that you are a manager of some company of tourism in the future and answer the questions...

° What type of company will you have?
° What will be the name of your company?
° Where will be it´s location?
°What type of services will you offer?
°What new tendency do you think that there will be?

Good luck! =) Gab&Luz

Hello this is our video... is an interview with my colleague Dulce and with teacher Rosa de la Peña about social tourism...

http://youtu.be/hyIiRSRnKKU.

As a conclusion, we noticed that many people don´t understand the concept of social tourism as an opotunity given to people with low-standards of living to travel, and they related it more with meeting new people.

Hello this is our theme that choose ...

RECOGNIZING CAUSE AND EFFECT
An effect is something that happens. A cause is the reason it happened. Sometimes one cause can lead to many affects.
When you read stories and articles, you may stop to think about what happened and why it happened.
Clue words such as because, since, thus, or as a result often signal a cause and effect relationship. If an author doesn’t use clue words, ask yourself, “What happened? Why did it happen?

CAUSE AND EFFECT IN AN ECOLOGICAL HOTEL
The main causes to create ecological hotel are:
Reuse and care of natural resources such as  water
Interaction of human beings with nature wildlife and the environment
Have new and sustainable concept

THE EFFECTS OF THESE CAUSES WOULD BE:
By reusing natural resources we were able to get the most possible without damaging the environment with factors external to it more.
Human beings to coexist with nature would create greater awareness of all that is destroying and would understand the importance and needs of the flora and fauna of the place.
By creating this hotel would be a new and fresh concept that would call the attention of the people and this would it sustainable since it would be a project which would be single and no factors that can damage the ecosystem of the place would be used.
